Another event from the Oh So Pretty Concerts Series is behind us. The audience was great - tickets sold like hotcakes. This time, we took on a French silent horror film based on a story by Edgar Allan Poe, The Fall of the House of Usher from 1928, directed by Jean Epstein. We invited a fantastic trio from Galway City - XOANON - to create live musical accompaniment. We had a good feeling - the guys showed class! The effect can be seen and heard below.
ABOUT XOANON... in their own words
We have been playing for about a year and a half, exploring sonic depths and heights and all in between. We are eager to explore how our sound(s) can be applied to many live performance capacities e.g. alongside film / audio-visual approaches.
We have released an ep - Three concertos for Butterflies and Submarine. [Listen below]
We are hopeful from our sonic deep dives of late to birthing an album later this year. We are eager to establish a unique and solid presence within the local music scene and beyond... by way of performances releases and collaborations with creatives far and wide... and close by too!
