Agustina Taborda is an eclectic musician based in Galway, Ireland.
Her main instrument is the bandoneón, an iconic instrument in Argentinean folk music. Her love of this music has led her to be part of many tango groups and orchestras.
In the last few years, the addition of keys, voice, and electronic instruments has opened her sound palette giving birth to her debut solo album, I bhfad ar shiúl, released in 2020, and to the collaboration album Por Mercurio, released in 2022.
Agustina enjoys playing diverse types of creations: old, new, acoustic, electronic, or in between.
On March 18, Silent Cinema will screen the 1927 film Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans, directed by F.W. Murnau, accompanied by live piano music performed by Agustina Taborda. Tickets are on sale now!
